Last week, we welcomed the Green Flag Award judge to Canons House and its beautiful grounds.
The judging visit is a chance to showcase the care, dedication and partnership that go into maintaining this special green space. Achieving and retaining Green Flag standards is very much a team effort, and we'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved.

From the Greenspaces team with the Arboriculture Manager and engagement officers, to the Idverde grounds maintenance staff, the Canons House team who help coordinate volunteer sessions, and our fantastic community partners at Friends of Canons and Sustainable Merton — your hard work, commitment and passion help make the grounds the haven they are for residents, visitors and flora & fauna alike.
The judge also had the opportunity to hear about some of the exciting projects taking place across the site, including the new Explore Outdoors programme, which is helping more people connect with nature, learn new skills and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors.
Thank you to everyone who contributes their time, expertise and enthusiasm throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of what we achieve together and grateful for all you do to keep Canons House and its grounds such a valued community asset.
Now it's a case of waiting for the results — fingers crossed! 🤞🌳
