About the event

About Reggae Babies

This new initiative has been designed by professional musicians and therapists. It supports parent/carers and young children to access music and dance in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Parents/carers are encouraged to interact with classes to help build a stronger relationship with their children and parental peers. Through this approach we hope to begin to create stronger community links between individuals, especially those who are interested to learn more about the culture and heritage of Jamaica and other Caribbean islands.

In the classes children will learn reggae songs and nursery rhymes and will be introduced to a range of instruments.

Classes are suitable for children age 0 - 3 years.

About the facilitator

Reggae Babies is hosted by Aisha Brown who is a trained singer, dancer, songwriter and teacher. Aisha is also an accredited Music Therapist (Nordoff Robbins Introduction to Music Therapy).

Jigsaw4u is a charity that provides a wide variety of services across the London Boroughs of Merton and Sutton. Click here to find out more.

This activity will take place outdoors if the weather allows, otherwise it will be moved indoors.
