Big Sports Day is Merton's annual flagship event for residents as part of our Borough of Sport ambitions. It brings Merton's sporting clubs, coaches and organisations together allowing residents to try out a wide range of sports with free taster sessions.

See you at Big Sports Day 2026
Big Sports Day is coming back to Canons House and Grounds on Sunday 6 September, from 11am to 5pm, and you're all invited to be part of the action.
This year, dozens of local sports clubs, coaches and organisations will be offering free taster sessions throughout the day.
From athletics, cricket and table tennis to crazy golf, walking football and volleyball, there's something for everyone to discover, and as always, it's free to attend.
