Join us for a relaxed, hands-on one-day workshop exploring creative ways to reuse and transform textile waste. This session focuses on the traditional hand-sewn technique known as the Suffolk puff—a simple yet versatile method for turning small fabric scraps into beautiful, textured embellishments. This technique dates back to the 17th century, when it was used to repurpose scraps and worn-out clothing into decorative quilts.
Throughout the day, you’ll learn how to create batches of Suffolk puffs using a variety of materials, discovering how different fabrics produce unique effects. You’ll also be guided through techniques for joining your puffs together and experimenting with ways to apply them to different surfaces and projects.
